[2023 Edition] Feminist Bird Club 2023 Patch

$10.00

Our Patch bird this year is the Common Nighthawk! With this year’s lovingly nicknamed “goth patch”, we’ve fulfilled our deep desire to showcase a nocturnal species (without flash photography or spotlights, of course).

The nighthawk was illustrated by Frances Ngo (she/her) (@tiny_zoologist). Ngo is a queer artist, zoologist, and multiracial Mexican-Chinese poet who draws artistic inspiration from her experience in wildlife conservation, from banding birds and preparing museum specimens, to organizing with communities devoted to equitable conservation.

This year 50% of patch sales will be donated to Wildflower Alliance (@wildfloweralliance), a grassroots peer-support, advocacy and training organization with a focus on harm reduction and human rights, which seeks to increase collective power for marginalized people.

We are thrilled to be supporting and amplifying Wildflower Alliance in their mission to both advocate for broad systemic transformation, and create pathways for individual healing. We have been inspired by their support for people who have been impacted by psychiatric diagnoses, trauma, homelessness, incarceration, problems with substance use, and other life-interrupting challenges.

The other 50% of patch sales will go towards supporting our expanding chapter network and normalizing paying LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and disabled event leaders for their time and expertise. Thank you all so much for growing with us and continuing to support our mission.

Patches measure 3 inches in diameter.

Patches are Iron-on, but to insure a firm grip, we recommend sewing or pinning your patch.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for your patch to be shipped and double check your address and make sure you have included all apartment numbers in your shipping address where applicable. Patches are shipping in a regular mailing envelope to keep costs low, so there will be no tracking # available.

Patches are shipped from the US - so if you are outside the US be sure to choose the international shipping option!
