Happy Spring y'all!

We're excited to announce that The Streets is Cawing and FBC Atlanta are joining forces to host "Get in Formation," a series of birding meetups in support of local community organizations.

Birds that migrate in the infamous V-formation don't do it for show, but survival.

Each bird takes a turn at the front, breaking the wind, making it easier for the rest.

They share the effort of moving the collective forward, support one another, and go farther together than any one we bird could alone.

That’s exactly how we should approach supporting our communities.

Each meetup will feature an opportunity to donate to local organizations making an impact where real need exists within our communities.

On May 10th, we'll be uplifting the Center for Black Women's Wellness and Flowing with Blessings.

There will be an opportunity to donate in person at the event, as well as future FBC and TSC events throughout the month of May!

If you don't have funds to give, donations of time and supplies are also really valuable. Every contribution — donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word —  builds momentum, reduces resistance, and helps move us all forward.

And the best part? When we reinvest in our own communities, the impact stays here. It strengthens our neighborhoods, our schools, and our local businesses. So the request is simple: get in formation.

Note: Everyone is welcome to attend this event, but please note that we aim to uplift our Black, Indigenous and POC birders as well as our LGBTQIA+ community at this event. We ask that all attendees are committed to upholding space for our BIPOC, queer, and trans community.
