What: Feminist Bird Club Atlanta Chapter - SHIRLEY CLARKE FRANKLIN PARK
When: Sunday, November 23, 2025; meet at 9:30am, birding begins at 10am
Where: Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (the park formerly known as Westside Reservoir Park) 1660 Johnson Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318; https://beltline.org/parks-trails/shirley-clarke-franklin-park/
Key Info: There are two main entrances to the park, which lead to different places. Please enter through the entrance with the prominent "whalebone sculpture" (see photo below)
Cost: Free
Route: We will meet near the restrooms by the parking lot at the above-specified entrance. We will be on fully paved pathways and cover ~2 miles.
What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, layers for a fall morning, hat, sunscreen, water, snacks, binoculars (but we have plenty to lend), & guidebook (if you have them).
Accessibility: Good. Paved paths throughout, though there are significant slopes and inclines.
Parking: Ample parking available. Bankhead Marta is the nearest transit stop, but is almost a mile away from the meeting area. Bike parking is available.
